Investigative standards for missing persons Brisbane

 1. When a report of a missing person is taken by law enforcement in jurisdictions where the missing person resides permanently, the agency swiftly notifies and sends a copy of the report to law enforcement agencies that have jurisdiction over the missing person's address. It is also appropriate to notify all law enforcement agencies with the intended jurisdiction of the disappeared person's address.

2. Upon the underlying receipt of a report for someone who has gone missing, the law enforcement agency will decide if the individual announced missing is to be assigned a "High Risk". Upon the assurance that a missing person investigation implies a high risk missing individual or a missing kid, the lead law enforcement agency may contact the private investigators for additional help. The private investigator of the missing person, in discussion with the lead police, will decide if the conditions warrant a cooperative effort. Suppose the assurance is put forth that a helpful attempt is justified. In that case, a private investigator or investigative agency will facilitate the sending of extra assets on the side of the investigation. The procedure is followed by requesting activation of the Amber Alert Plan for cases involving abducted children under the age of 18 who were threatened with death or serious personal injury.

A. AMBER Abducted Child Alert- Amber Alert System is a collaborative effort between law enforcement agencies and broadcast media in the case of Kidnapping of children. System activation provides an immediate emergency Broadcast descriptive information to the general public through numerous media outlets.

B. Family Reference Sample Collection Kit-  Standardized Collection Kit provides a safe and effective non-invasive means for obtaining DNA references—a sample from the appropriate family of the missing person. Samples are then entered into the Missing Person DNA Database program for comparison purposes.

C. High-risk missing person- An individual whose whereabouts are at present obscure, and the circumstance of the individual's disappearance is that the person is probable at the risk of injury or death. Possibilities showing High-risk missing people incorporate, however, are not restricted to

● The person who is absent because of affirmed Kidnapping or under it the circumstance showing the individual's disappearance was not willful.

● The individual is missing under unknown dangerous conditions.

● The individual has been missing for over 30 days.
